Die-cutting machine with hot foil stamping and stripping C106Y

The C106Y die-cutter is the most advanced machine from Guowang, designed to combine hot foil stamping and stripping in one machine. It features pile forming and batch counting, which significantly reduces workload and related costs. It allows flexible switching between die-cutting and waste stripping, and the efficient paper feeder with unique die-to-print registration significantly reduces feeding-related downtime.

The machine has two stations and its main advantages are fast set-upí and registration accuracy. In a single pass of the sheet, both hot foil stamping and stripping take place, and set-up only needs to be done once. Normally the operator would have to set up two machines. One gripper bar takes the sheet from the feeder and holds it through the entire machine – in other words, the sheet is never handed over inside the machine, so there is no room for deviations. With the usual method, using two separate machines for stripping and hot foil stamping, the chance of deviation is much greater, as the sheet is passed between several grippers and two machines need to be set up.

The machine features a 19″ HD touch screen on which all functions can be easily set. The control system is simple, intuitive and easy to use.

Feeder

  • High-quality feeder (Taiwan) with 4 suckers for lifting paper and 4 suckers for forwarding paper to ensure fast and stable sheet feeding. The height and angle of the suckers are easily adjustable so that the sheets are delivered straight.
  • MABEG feeder (optional) for precise results in loading and feeding into the machine.
  • Mechanical double-sheet control, a late-sheet detection device and an adjustable air blower ensure reliable and precise sheet transport.
  • Becker compressor.
  • Motorised lateral pile shift for precise feeding.
  • A perfectly aligned sheet pile can be built on pallets that move on rails and allow pre-piling. This creates an important precondition for trouble-free production, and the operator can move the prepared pile precisely and comfortably into the feeder (max. pile height 1600 mm).
  • The single-position engagement of the pneumatically controlled mechanical clutch ensures that after every restart the first sheet is always precisely delivered to the front lays for easy, quick and material-saving make-ready.
  • The side lays can be switched between pull and push mode on both sides of the machine simply by turning a pin, without mounting or dismounting any parts. This ensures flexibility in processing a wide range of materials, regardless of whether the register marks are on the left or right side of the sheet.
  • The side and front lays are equipped with precise optical sensors that detect black colour and plastic sheets. Sensor sensitivity is adjustable.
  • Optical sensors with an automatic stop system on the feed table optimise the monitoring system for comprehensive quality control across the entire sheet width and in the event of a sheet jam.
  • The control panel on the feeder, used for easier control of the feeding process, has an LED display.
  • Separate drive control for the main pile and auxiliary pile.
  • PLC and electronic cam for timing control.
  • A foreign object protection device can prevent machine damage.
  • Japan Nitta feeder conveyor belt with adjustable speed.
  • Ultrasonic (SUPERSONIC) double-sheet detection (optional).
  • Static eliminator on feeder/delivery (optional).

Die-cutting unit

  • A pneumatic locking system makes it easier to lock and release the cutting die and cutting plate.
  • Pneumatic lifting cutting plate for easier insertion and removal.
  • A centring system on the cutting chase with diagonal fine adjustment ensures precise registration, allowing quick job changes.
  • Precise positioning of the cutting die is controlled by a precise optical sensor with an automatic check and locking device.
  • Cutting die turning device.
  • A Siemens main motor controlled by a Schneider inverter ensures smooth and trouble-free operation.
  • Fine adjustment of cutting force (pressure accuracy max. 0.01 mm, max. cutting force up to 300 tonnes) is provided by a servo motor with worm gear, controlled via a 15-inch touch screen.
  • The crankshaft is made of chrome steel (40Cr).
  • The machine frame and ram are made of ductile cast iron (HT300).
  • 7 sets of gripper bars made of light and durable aluminium alloy with an ultra-hard anodised surface ensure precise and consistent paper registration.
  • The high-quality gripper bar from Japan offers a long service life and needs no compensation spacer to ensure precise paper registration.
  • Cutting plates of various thicknesses (1 pc – 1 mm, 1 pc – 3 mm, 1 pc – 4 mm) allow easy job changes.
  • A high-quality pre-stretched Renold (UK) chain ensures stability and accuracy even for long-run jobs.
  • The high-pressure gripper bar registration system ensures precise positioning.
  • An overload protection device with torque limiter ensures a high level of safety for operator and machine.
  • Automatic lubrication and cooling system for the main drive and automatic main chain lubrication.

Foil unit – hot foil stamping

  • Independently controlled programmable foil pull rollers (3 sets longitudinal and 2 sets transverse) driven by YASKAWA servo motors.
  • Longitudinal full-format foil loading system for stamping in 2 directions simultaneously greatly helps save foil and shortens foil change time.
  • 20 separately controlled heating zones using an intubation heating system with a temperature tolerance of ±1 °C.
  • 1 set of ductile iron honeycomb plate and locking device for die-cutting.
  • Dwell device for stamping large areas.
  • Two-way separating blower.
  • Brush system for removing foil waste from the side of the machine, where it can be collected and disposed of.
  • Optical sensors for detecting broken foil.
  • The optional WFR-280 foil rewinder for disposing of used foil winds it onto six independent reels in a dedicated free-standing module.
  • The optional COMPACT foil rewinder for disposing of used foil winds it onto 4 reels located at the bottom of the machine.
  • Hologram applicator for inserting hologram tape (optional).
  • A time heater preheats the machine and prepares it for production before the start of the shift (optional).

Delivery

  • An adjustable AC-motor-driven brake brush helps take paper from the grippers and stack it at higher speed with perfect pile alignment.
  • The delivery pile height is max. 1350 mm.
  • A photoelectric device monitors and prevents excessive rising or lowering of the paper pile.
  • Sheets in the pile can be counted by an optical sensor (standard), and this unit can be integrated with a tape inserter for placing paper markers in the pile (optional), making it easier to remove unprinted sheets and pack.
  • The entire machine can be set up via a 10.4-inch touch monitor at the rear of the machine.
  • An auxiliary conveyor grid makes it easier to configure the machine as a non-stop delivery.

Electrical components

  • Electronic detectors, microswitches and photoelectric sensors throughout the machine are controlled by a programmable logic controller (PLC).
  • Electronic switching cam for encoder switching.
  • All main operations can be controlled via 15- and 10.4-inch touch monitors.
  • PILZ safety relays (standard) ensure a high safety standard for the whole machine.
  • The internal locking switch meets all CE requirements.
  • Electrical components including Moeller, Omron, Schneider relays, AC contactors and air circuit breakers ensure stability for long-run jobs.
  • Error display and automatic fault diagnostics.
