Installation of an automatic hot foil stamping die-cutter by Versotrade
The company Versotrade installed another hot foil stamping die-cutter. This time, however, it is a special one. Versotrade had an automatic hot foil stamping die-cutter manufactured custom-made . The customer had a special requirement. They wanted the hot foil stamping and die-cutting to be able to work with paper weighing 70 g/m2 . This criterion is not at all easy to meet. The customer had talked to several competing suppliers, and none of them had a machine in their offer capable of handling such lightweight paper.
This was a challenge for us too. However, we accomplished this task because, directly at the manufacturer, we worked out what special technique could be used to achieve work with such a low grammage. This was despite the fact that it required considerable modifications to the machine. The machine can now therefore handle both standard weights and low grammage. Its usability has thus increased significantly.
The machine handles hot foil stamping using up to 3 foils . Each of these foils has independent unwinding. As for speeds, hot foil stamping can run at speeds up to 6,000 sheets per hour, and die-cutting even up to 7,000 sheets per hour. The maximum format is B2. Another interesting feature is that the machine takes up little space. In length it measures only 4 meters and in width just over 2 meters. It is therefore an ideal solution for those struggling with space.
The installation went very well. The machine was up and running in just one day. All this thanks to a very skilled technician from China, assisted by no less skilled technicians from the company Versotrade .
Na operator training was allotted three days , with the provision that if the staff could not manage to learn everything, the training could be extended by up to another 3 working days. In the end, however, this was not needed at all. On the first day, die-cutting was taught – without problems. On the second day, hot foil stamping – without problems. And on the third day, the operators were already experimenting and figuring out how they could "play around" with the machine. Such smooth and fast training took place because the printing house owner had prepared many different samples, on which the operators could try everything many times. Everyone agreed that this training system is much better than setting up one huge order and letting the machine run while just watching it with arms folded. In fact, while testing the machine, the operators found that the machine is capable of working with paper weighing only 60 g/m2!!! . That is 10 g less than we guaranteed to the customer. This too was very good news for the customer.
The official handover of the machine took place on the last day. Both the owner of the printing house and the director of our company Versotrade were satisfied. We believe that this machine will serve its purpose to the customer's fullest satisfaction.
