PB7000 is a robust perfect binder using hot-melt glue. Book clamping, spine roughening, gluing and cover nipping are all done in one pass – the operator receives a finished softcover book, catalogue or proceedings without additional steps.
The spine is processed by a top milling cutter combined with a notching cutter, driven by a high-power motor; the milling depth is adjustable according to book thickness. The dual glue adjustment system with a separate scratch drum spreads the adhesive evenly for a strong bind. The patented soft/hard cover switching lets the nipping adapt to different cover materials.
The machine handles book blocks with a binding length up to 420 mm and thickness up to 60 mm at 250 books per hour. A reinforced steel structure and CE-certified dual rail ensure stability and long service life in daily production.
