Automatic creasing and perforating machine Lightning Pro 8336B

Crease up/down, cross, rotary, partial and strike perforation, scoring – vacuum pile feeding

Lightning Pro 8336B is a versatile automatic creaser with vacuum pile feeding and a wide range of finishing options. Besides creasing up and down it offers cross perforation (including partial perfs), a choice of four crease widths and an array of rotary tools for linear perforating, scoring and kiss-cutting.

Thanks to interchangeable slide-in creasing and perforating dies, the machine quickly switches over from creasing, which prevents toner cracking on digital prints, to perforating tear-off pieces. The strike perforation function produces up to 4 partial perforation lines with programmable sections; all programming is done on a 7" touch screen.

Book cover mode and progressive creasing make the machine ideal for booklets, catalogues and photobooks that open easily and lay flat. Optional specialty feeders extend processing to small cards, and a table extension allows long sheets up to 1200 mm.

  • Suction feeding table – pile up to 100 mm; sheets are transported gently, without scratches or marks caused by feed tires or bottom suction feeders
  • Specialty feeders (optional) – narrow, short and mini feeders for narrow and short sheets and small cards
  • Intuitive touch-screen interface – visual preview of the programmed job before running, no wasted test sheets
  • Slide-in tools – male/female crease bar and perforating bar made of durable metal, quick exchange
  • Linear partial perforators – up to 4 units; together with the perf bar they make cross or T-shape perforations, up to 16 partial sections per unit defined on the touch screen
  • Up to 32 creases/perfs in one pass, crease up and down
  • Book cover mode and progressive creasing
  • 33KF online knife folder – modular folding unit connecting directly to the 8336B without modifications; the system can be controlled from either touch screen

Progressive creasing

Creasing in the same position on each page makes a thick book (manual, photobook) hard to open fully without breaking the spine, and makes saddle-stitched booklets difficult to fold and trim. With Progressive, each sheet is creased in a slightly different position – the book lays flat and opens easily, and booklets form a "V" shape with a square back.
